The dark side of Earth’s moon hides an alien secret. The Malvans, rulers of an interstellar empire, have been holding super-powered gladiator fights in a lunar arena – and very soon, the heroes of Earth will be able to join the battle in the Forum Malvanum custom alert!

For years, the Malvans have been abducting heroes to fight in the coliseum, and then wiping their memories before returning them to Earth. Now that the Earthlings have proven themselves in the two courses of the Great Race, Tateklys, imperator of the Malvan coliseum, is openly inviting heroes to battle in the Forum Malvanum – and offering huge rewards to those who do.

Starting soon, the battle in the Forum Malvanum will pit the heroes of Millennium City against waves of monsters, galactic gladiators, and even some villains from Earth in a ten-round endurance fight. The Malvans have brought their best warriors to do battle, including Firewing himself, the supreme gladiator of the Malvans, and a certain Tarukian hero.

The price of failure is steep in the coliseum, though: Beginning with the sixth round, each round will also have a time limit. Tateklys demands the very best performances for his coliseum, and weaklings are unworthy of his imperial attention.

Winning the favor of Tateklys, on the other hand, will have rewards befitting a Champion of a galactic empire. Completing more rounds in the coliseum will net heroes greater and greater rewards – stay tuned for more information, including screenshots of costume pieces for victors!

Prepare yourself for the arrival of the Forum Malvanum, heroes, because Tateklys is about to begin the games – Ave Malva!

The Bloodmoon event runs from noon PDT Thursday, 5/16, until noon PDT on Monday, 5/20. TrailTurtle will be livestreaming from 5:30 PM PDT to 7PM PDT on Thursday, helping heroes, harming haunts and hamming it up for the camera. You can join him in-game, or watch on the Twitch channel.

The Bloodmoon has risen, painting Millennium City red with its deathly light. The Undying Lord Takofanes is sending his undead army against the living, and heroes are needed to stand against them. Can you survive the onslaught of his undead minions, including the trapped souls of heroes who died during the Battle of Detroit?

During this event, you'll be able to get a ton of special perks and collect ghoulish action figures. The Bloodmoon will only last for this weekend, from Thursday 12:01 PM (noon) PDT 5/16 until Monday 11:59 PM PDT 5/20, so get in there and help defend the city!

Orphie

When the Lemurians were defeated, they left treasure troves of advanced technology, and UNTIL has been hard at work turning that into new field equipment! They’ve already started forging Questionite into upgraded versions of vehicles weapons — now they’ve managed to reverse-engineer the nimble Exocet fighters that bedeviled the skycarrier Barcelona.

Espadon

Thanks to the tireless efforts of UNTIL’s engineers, two variants on the Exocet design are entering full-scale production: The Orphie and the heavier Espadon. Both of these vehicles have upgraded Mark 2 weapon powers, so they’re ready to face whatever the forces of evil have to throw at them!

The Orphie and Espadon are available at the Drifter NPC in Renaissance Center, in exchange for Drifter Salvage. Get Drifter Salvage by using Cosmic Keys to open lockboxes – in addition to the main prize, each lockbox contains at least two pieces of Salvage.

Racers take note – Millennium City’s skyways are hosting a second race course! Another set of Malvan rings are forming a course to challenge your flying, and crown the champion of the course!

If the rings above Millennium City were a mystery before, now they’re a complete conundrum! The rings that make up the second course don’t co-exist with the rings of the first course: they alternate. One race will be on the first course, the next will on the second course.

And make no mistake, heroes: This new race isn’t for the faint of heart! The course is twistier, and the guide-beacons that showed the path between rings are removed. Keep your eyes sharp for the next ring!

Completing this new race will count the same as the original – completion will earn an Unidentified Malvan Artifact, and that can be traded in to complete Sapphire’s daily mission. This race starts and ends at the same rings as the original course.

The second course arrives at noon Pacific on Thursday, 4/25. Rev your engines and spread your wings, but be careful – racing this course is flirting with disaster!

Livestreaming and costume contests – two things we’re huge fans of, especially when combined!

This Wednesday, Community Manager TrailTurtle is going to be hosting a costume contest in the Powerhouse Theater. TrailTurtle will be cracking jokes, telling stories and answering questions on a livestream, while a dedicated corps of fellow players judge the winners. The winners will get resources and undying praise.

After the costume contest, TrailTurtle will hang out in the Renaissance Center, or running commentary while watching another costume contest. Make sure to jump in and watch on Wednesday!

Reload and rev your engines, heroes: UNTIL has released a number of upgraded vehicle weapons into the Q-Store!

Since the Lemurian Invasion, UNTIL’s been hard at work reverse-engineering the reptiles’ powerful weapons. With the help of local programmer and inventor Mark Whitaker, they’ve finally managed it, and now you can upgrade your own vehicle!

Thanks to their tireless research, you can now get Mark 2 vehicle weapons from the Questionite Store. Slotting these powers unlocks a number of powers for every specialization, from the threat-drawing Flashbang to the crowd-demolishing Full Battery Barrage. Plus, since they’re Mark 2, they’re even more dangerous! Control + right click your vehicle to start modifying, and you’ll be able to slot these weapons.

Not all weapon powers will have Rank 2 powers in the Q-Store; check the list below. You can collect Questionite by completing missions like Comic Series or the Gravitar Rampage alert, or you can trade ZEN for it in the Questionite Exchange.

In addition, we’re adding a fan-favorite Action Figure to the Questionite store: the Bleak Harbinger! The Harbinger may have demolished Millennium City in the Lemurian Invasion, but at this adorable size, the only thing he’ll demolish is your heart.

The Great Race event has begun! Giant rings have appeared over Millennium City, daring heroes to race through them. Earn costume pieces and more when you challenge the race course section of the Forum Malvanum!

Millennium City Free Press has 24/7 coverage of the race, including a helicopter parked at the start line – directly above Rennaissance Center. Sapphire’s conducting her own investigation of the rings for the Champions, but it’s looking like the only way to learn more will be racing.

After completing the race, you’ll be able to pick up a token to turn in to Sapphire – there’s a small platform right after the finish-ring. Hand her the token once per day for a race prize pack, with rewards including a chance at recognition, questionite, and three costume pieces.
